A question for teachers

You are teaching an "advanced" drop in class which consists of a complicated but short turn pattern followed by a shine, followed by another short turn pattern.

With 15 minutes of the class left you find that not one of the students can do the first pattern properly, let alone the second one, which is equally as difficult.

What would you do?

(I observed this situation in a class recently and I'm interested in comparing what actually happened with what ideas the teachers here would come up with)
