The chances are that they have an element of 'Kinesthesic' learning. A teacher who continuously demonstrates and des not allow enough practice in class will not engage them.

For an inexperienced leader, having the confidence to dance socially is the key. Positive reinforcement from teacher and assisstant is key. A teaching assistant (or pre=arranged more advanced dancer should 'grab' such a student after the class and be VERY positive.

You know your clearest leaders and most responsive followers. Encourage them to catch less experienced dancers before they leave and help them practice
