You need to be a carpenter or, at least, have the knowledge of carpentry before you can or consider teaching and studying the teacher training course. Yes, I started as a child.. my Q was trying to establish whether or no they had travelled the same route ( did you not read that it was not a perjorative q ? ).
Incidentally, dancing for multi yrs, does NOT qualify one to teach ( and i dont mean exam wise ).. different skill sets. Even with about13/14 yrs experience thru comps etc, I still didnt have the knowledge to " teach "..I,m STILL learning...
