Well, for a start you can seriously injure your partner if you have been badly taught. I would have thought that was enough of a reason to have a qualified, experienced, professional teacher.
Aren't we going round a circle about the discussion i.e. if Salsa instructors should be qualified, experience and professional? Very few are. I wish they ALL were and it would certainly be beneficial if they were.
It may be evident to you and me and many other people, however, how many newbies and/or existing learners understand the obviousness of your point? How many, in reality and life, newbies and/or existing learners (ever) go and ask the instructor(s) or club owner(s) before they join the class if they are qualified, experience and professional?
