Call it a matter of principle. I don't like the idea of traveling 75 miles on the understanding it's going to cost £8 and then be charged £10 when I get there. I'm sure your feelings would be similar if the same happens when you go shopping and the price at the till is more than the price stated in the advert in the newspaper!

If you want to talk about value for money then as far as I'm concerned it's also important. I think Rollerworld is expensive for what you get. I think this is verified by the seemingly smaller turnouts and the lower proportion of advanced salsa dancers. £8 for the event at 9.30 is OK. £10 at 9.15 would make me go to Salsology instead. That's why I want to know! We travel across in a hired mini bus and the combined cost difference pays or does not for the vehicle hire.
