(Sadly the cost of taking legal action probably is more that your fee and even if you won there's no guarantee you would see your money. Is this a common problem?)

Correct me if I am wrong ( and I know you will )

In english law.. does not the "loser " in a suit pay the costs in addition to the claim ? . As to seeing " your " money.. does the word bailiff ring a bell ?.

The states does not have debtors prison etc . and small claims are cheap, but interminable with, a no cost recovery .
