Hi Twinkletoes,

I can assure you that in the past, I have answered in great depth and I believe great clarity this question on this forum and I have attempted once again in reply to AndrewS to at least give the main points as to why it is not a viable method!

You have, in your post, repeated almost word for word the reasons and points so you do seem to have an understanding of the logistical nightmare that adding a cover charge would be.

I cannot understand why some people (obviously I’m not referring to you) don't get the simple logic of the argument - and therefore accept and use a tried and tested model that does actually work providing people accept it and use it fairly – i.e. that the way to pay for the space in which to dance is to pay for the drinks that they will doubtless want to consume during the course of an evening, whilst at the same time fairly compensating the providers of that space, amenities and drink & refreshments for doing so.

In this seemingly endless debate my question would be to those people (and let's see if I get a clear and coherent response/ argument from the tap water drinkers) why do you feel that you shouldn’t pay for the space in which you wish to dance including all the amenities that go with that space? Why do you feel that someone should provide you with and serve you with refreshments throughout the night providing and paying the staff to do that for you without compensation for doing so?
