Perhaps, because they don't read forums & assume that as they have parted with money to get in, they deserve to have a few glasses of tap water for nowt. If I didn't read this forum, I wouldn't have realised that the Promoter wasn't paying the venue!!

Along similar lines, you go to a restaurant and expect to have a free jug of tap water & perhaps some bread, rightly assuming that the price you are going to pay for the meal would cover it (& it obvious does). It would be a shock to be told, if you don't buy wine or drinks, you won't be covering the cost of your table/barman/cleaner.

Incidently, expect more future trouble, as the campaign to stop peeps using BOTTLED water is firing up.
