Ban the 100 tap water drinkers and nothing changes except the cost for running the night i.e. numbers of doorman and staff wear & tear etc etc go down.


Not strictly true. If you have 100 dancers instead of 200 you might get a few people who say "there's nobody to dance with", "it's been a bit empty recently" and they may stop going. Then you have 90 people, some of whom will start to notice that there aren't so many people there and "not so many to dance with any more". You're in danger of the numbers dwindling away.

I think charging a nominal amount for a glass of tap water could be the answer. If it was, say 20p for a glass of water, surely even the hardened tap water drinker wouldn't complain about that?
