You don't understand the argument Zug because you don't get that the venue and the promoter are two seperate businesses and you cover the cost of the space in which to dance by the money you hand over for drinks and not from the money you hand to the promoter on the door which is to cover the cost of hiring the person on the door taking your money, the teachers and the DJ if there is one + pay for the promotion and compensate the promoter for his efforts...

SORRY ZUG ... BUT YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THE ARGUMENT!

I did try ... but you don't bother to properly read the explanations or if you do you're not sufficiently bright to understand them or that you are a possible troll and get some strange pleasure going around and around in a perpetual attempt to cause controversy. You don’t deserve any more of my time with your ridiculous state of confusion ... And so unless you answer the questions that have been put to you, as I have done for those that have been asked of me, I’ve come to the conclusion that I've wasted enough time on you ... you are a lost cause!

I think one possible approach here is that, if you feel you are not explaining yourself properly, it might be helpful to descend into personal abuse. Another possibility would be to understand that punters, customers, people who go to dance couldn't give a flying wotsit about different organisations being involved, they only give a flying wotsit about their activity - which is going out to dance. Thats what they pay for, thats what they want - they prove this by paying the entry fee. Putting the cost up, either by entry fee, or by compulsory subsidisation of people who want to drink as well, will lead to the closure of venues by less people turning up. Eventually, the venues that survive will be the ones that dont rely on high costs, which to the punter is a combination of all the expenditure he or she must pay out - drinks, entry etc. The reason I do understand this is because I am an economist by training. However, I am considering taking a course in how to give personal abuse, for on this I fear I lack the training of some other contributors to this site.
