Well if you want to be rude, it sounds like you are not very fit if you feel social salsa is hard work.
Even performance salsa doesn't compare to ballet or break dancing or performance Lindy Hope for physical demand.



I don’t think he/she is trying to be rude and I am not defending them. However, you are not comparing like with like. Ballet training takes years and if not done from early age then one has no chance to become a ballet dancer - while to be a decent Salsa dancer, perhaps, (depending own dexterity, obviously) less than twelve months.

Each dance carries its own physical burden, complexity and dexterity. One needs to be sufficiently fit to walk the dog.
